Orchids and More Orchids – Pleasantdale Chateau

pleasantdale chateau wedding bridal table

The bridal table was decorated with a delightful rich design of white and cream roses with a gorgeous cascade of phalaenopsis orchids.

This past weekend we had the pleasure of trying out a new venue, the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, a magnificent 19 century style venue  in the middle of a park setting, full of lakes, meadows, brooks and little quaint bridges. But what impressed us most was the grand ballroom, a gorgeously neutral room ready for whatever anyone has in mind.

This wedding theme: orchids, orchids and more orchids if possible please. So we set to work by procuring these gorgeous white phalaenopsis orchids from our own NJ source, set the Eiffel tower vases on tables, the floating candles and the rest is history. Have to admit that the lighting crew did a wonderful job in turning the space around and complimenting our flowers.

  1. “Thank you so much for doing such a great job with the flowers. I LOVED my centerpieces. The orchid heads were huge. The ballroom looked perfect and I couldn’t be happier. I got so many compliments on them. The staff at Pleasantdale said that they were very elegant and different. Many people asked who my florist was.

I took the extra white orchids home and they are sitting in my dining room. They make me so happy!”
