I always look around to see what everyone else is doing. Yes, indeed, we are all looking around and we should. Whether it is magazines, websites and blogs, we should all look around for inspiration.

As I was looking around today, I have found an absolutely amazing designer, Deborah Silver or Deborah Silver and Co.  located in Sylvan Lake, Michigan, and I would love to share with you a couple of their inspired twists to Holiday Decorating.

Deborah humbly declares herself to have been a gardener for 24 years and an artist for even longer, but my personal opinion is that she has pretty much been a secret genius of the floral design world.

This wreath might be a little bit complicated to make in your house if you do not have a Magnolia Tree around. But just imagine how simple, clean and Baroque this would look on your mantle.

A simple died wood shaving wreath. A possible DIY in your own Santa Shop and an astounding idea sporting all the good things that you might believe in: organic, recycled, home made.

Yes, there is no shame in looking into your neighbour’s yard, especially if you have something to learn from them:)

I met Hailey for the first time just three months before her wedding, so we needed to put together a concept for her wedding decor in a very short time. Nevertheless, it came out splendid, just splendid, and Dante Williams was again the fantastic photographer to catch this wedding on his lens.

Their team was on top of everything on the day of the event and I felt that this celebration was in really good hands. And with Brooklyn Botanic Gardens as the hosts, what could go wrong?

The Bridal Bouquet was comprised of pink, magenta and lavender blooms, keeping with the autumn feel.

 

The centerpieces were comprised of glass vases with floating candles and submerged orchids.

 

I can not believe that the year is almost done. One more event in our calendar, and we will be ready to celebrate the coming of the New Year. From the looks of it, 2010 will be much busier that 2009, and with all the love around us, we are already rolling our sleeves and setting dozens of appointments for next year events.

Autumn has been over for some time, but Mother Nature doesn’t seem to change it’s mind. So now, as December is upon us, and I was putting some order in my paperwork and pictures, I have found these sweet images from a recent wedding which took place couple of months ago in New York City.

With a ceremony at the St. Patrick Old Cathedral and an oppulent feast at the Golden Unicorn, guests had a great opportunity to visit the decadent China Town and with the rain pouring on us, they found shelter in yellow cabs.

Rose petals sorrounded these Lazy Susans for added color and texture.

Flowers from the ceremony were reused around the cupcake table.
